Workforce Development:

Världsomspännande partners

Schools who deliver Light Brigade courses must possess and maintain a certain amount of equipment to be able to deliver the training effectively. This includes test equipment, splicing machinery, tooling, and consumables.

Light Brigade has specific requirements for the performance thresholds equipment used in class must meet. If the school already has these materials, Light Brigade will gladly assist in filling in any gaps.

*Note that equipment must be from a reputable manufacturer with a robust repair capability to reduce downtime should equipment need service.

If a school has not yet acquired any equipment, Light Brigade has kits available that include all the necessary materials. Further, we can re-supply consumables for each cohort of students or as stores are exhausted. While purchasing equipment through Light Brigade is not required, there are several benefits to doing so:

  • Convenient “one-stop shop”

  • Consumables always in stock

  • Bill of materials is always current and accurate to class requirements

  • Product support direct from Light Brigade

Lead Time on Equipment

Lead times on permanent (i.e., non-consumable) equipment is generally 8-12 weeks. The process typically looks like this:

  • School requests quote from Light Brigade, providing details on how many locations and how many students per cohort

  • Light Brigade provides a quotation, either for the full kit or a customized configuration if the school already owns some equipment

  • Once a purchase order is received, Light Brigade procures the required items

  • Light Brigade consolidates all equipment into a single shipment, typically 2 pallets per school

  • Shipment is made via LTL freight

Light Brigade’s terms are net 30 days OAC, however prepay via ACH is also available.
