Light Brigade Appoints Sean Kelly as Technical Director

Light Brigade announced today the appointment of Sean Kelly (RCDD) as Technical Director. In this critical role, he will lead the development of Light Brigade’s training content, support test equipment, and product sales, and collaborate on key projects with affiliate company Hexatronic North America.


Sean brings more than 20 years of fiber optic cable and connectivity expertise to the new position at Light Brigade. He has worked in several fiber-related roles including product development, manufacturing, test, and application engineering at TE Connectivity/AMP, CommScope, and Rosenberger.


“Sean’s deep understanding of fiber optics will secure Light Brigade’s position at the forefront of fiber optic technology training,” commented Light Brigade CEO, Martin Lee. “I look forward to channeling his enthusiasm and knowledge of fiber into relevant and innovative training. He will be a key member of our team, focused on developing world-class hands-on and technical training for our students.”


His passion for the industry is reflected in his current and past involvement in numerous standards groups and committees including Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), BICSI Future Education Needs and Trends (FENT), and TIA/Fiber Optics Technology Consortium (FOTC). Sean is a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer® (RCDD®) and has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Technology Management and Electronics Technology, with an emphasis on communications and fiber optics from the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
