Hexatronic Group AB Acquires Light Brigade

World-class Fiber Optic Training, Gets Better!

Kent, WA – July 31, 2020 - Light Brigade, the industry leader in fiber optic training, confirms acquisition completion by Hexatronic Group AB (publ), as stated on July 23, 2020, from AFL Telecommunications LLC. Light Brigade is excited to complement Hexatonics' existing training capability portfolio and help expand its footprint in the US. Hexatronic develops, markets, and delivers components and system solutions for the fiber optic market and has a strong fiber optic training presence in Europe.

After five years of providing excellent leadership and helping Light Brigade train more than 60,000 fiber professionals, General Manager, Lee Kellett retired on July 31, 2020. Lee postponed her original retirement date of May 31, 2020, to provide guidance during COVID and help complete the acquisition. We very much thank Lee for her contribution to growing the business and Light Brigade's increased presence in the technology training arena and are thrilled she will remain connected to the organization in a consultative role. Martin Lee assumed the role of General Manager on July 20, 2020, and will work with Lee Kellett through the transition. Before joining Light Brigade, he was the Vice President at Rosenberger North America and Director at Carlisle Interconnect Technologies.

Light Brigade will maintain its headquarters in Kent, WA. Day-to-day operations will remain the same as Martin Lee leads the Light Brigade team through this exciting transition. Martin Lee will report to the CEO of Hexatronic Group, Henrik Larsson Lyon.

"With the challenges we currently face with COVID-19 and the fundamental shift and growth in data usage, fiber optic networks have never been more important," said Martin. "I am excited to join The Light Brigade as we become part of the Hexatronic family and help our customers develop their teams to design and build better networks.
