David Henry, Jr., has over 30 years of combined RF, Satcom and telecommunications experience as a technician, performing engineering & installation, testing, Project Manager, Product manager, Leadership and Technical Trainer, and Director of Operations. After attending college as a student-athlete he began his technical career in the United States Air Force (UASF) where he served honorably both on active duty and in the Air National Guard.
Early on as an RF electronic communications tech he developed a desire for wanting to learn more about how things work and developed reputation for being able to pick up new concepts and component level trouble shooting. This led him to enroll in the Community College of the Air Force where he obtained an AS in Electronic Engineering Technology and Instructor of Technology.
David’s civilian career covers a broad range and provides a solid foundation to draw upon as an instructor. A background with transport and local loop equipment working with NEC and Ciena on WDM, DWDM, CWDM and Access & PON technologies to include SONET and SDH. Experience working with Satcom hardware at iDirect and rounding it out is over 7 years of infrastructure implementation both lit & dark fiber and private networks experience working with Zayo as a PM and most recently with NTI in the Northern VA area where the focus was ISP & OSP implementation and testing that included data centers.

He and his wife enjoy their faith, family, working in the community, traveling and sports. He has over 35 years as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where service to the community is paramount.
